The Business & Economy Program examines the intersection of global markets, trade policy, and economic security. It provides research and analysis on issues ranging from investment flows and supply-chain resilience to the impact of tariffs, sanctions, and emerging industries.
The Critical Minerals Security Project analyzes the resources essential to modern economies and national security. It examines supply chains, trade dependencies, and technological demand for minerals such as lithium, cobalt, and rare earths. The project’s mission is to inform strategies that reduce vulnerabilities, strengthen resilience, and secure access to the materials that power the future.
The Indo-Pacific Security Program focuses on the region’s strategic importance as a center of global trade, technology, and military competition. It examines maritime security, regional alliances, and great-power dynamics to provide insights that strengthen stability and advance U.S. and allied interests in the Indo-Pacific.
The Global & International Security & Strategy Project addresses the evolving dynamics of power, conflict, and cooperation in the international system. It examines defense policy, alliances, great-power competition, and emerging threats to provide policymakers with strategic insights that advance stability, security, and practical statecraft.




AI & Technology Program

Focusing on artificial intelligence, cyber capabilities, and advanced innovation, the project analyzes how technological change is reshaping national security and global power dynamics..
Defense Innovation Program
Program on Strategic Foresight
The Strategic Foresight Program equips policymakers, business leaders, and scholars with tools to anticipate disruptive global shifts and prepare for emerging challenges. Through scenario planning, risk analysis, and horizon scanning, the project explores the impact of technological innovation, space and nuclear dynamics, demographic change, and geopolitical realignments. Its mission is to help decision-makers move beyond short-term crises and develop resilient strategies for a rapidly evolving world.
The Defense Innovation Program examines how emerging technologies, innovative concepts, and industrial advancements are transforming military capabilities and security strategies.
